Portfolio Version 2

Due to a few comments I have made a few changes to th initial screen designs. This time I have added two designs to show what the site will look like with content on it.

Homepage

Content

The site looks better now with the logo, but why have you got that big gap on the homepage at the bottom? You could fit two more thumbnails in there and the page would look a lot more balanced.

On your content page you don't appear to have a clear header to the page. Where would this go? If you weren't planning on adding one, I think you need to change that. A header allows the user to see where the content starts, and also allows them to get an idea for what the content will be about.

Also on your content page - where would extra images of your products go? Are you planning on just having one? There doesn't look like much thought has gone into the placement of images currently, and this will be something you're going to need to rethink for the final iteration.

Finally, I think it needs more colour on there. If you're going to go for a black and white theme you need to do something with the thumbnails to provide more visual interest. Do more than just screen shots of your websites.

Hi Chris, I like what you have done but your site looks too plain, I think you need to include some more detail in the design. Even if you don't want to add colour I think you should add some pattern or something.

I like what you have done using the script logo at the top of the page, the navigation is also working.

The rest of the page needs some more development, the close up screen shots of your work is a good idea, but again it needs another tweak. They also need some form of description for the user.

Maybe you could incorporate more colour into the design in this area, behind the screen shots ? nothing too overpowering just a hint.

I still think the design is far too plane. It lacks any interesting colours or shapes. It may be an idea to sit down and do a load of creative work 'culture vulture' style to try and come up with a stronger graphical look. Even just some interesting typography could work well.

Far too plane? I didn't know it was supposed to fly.

Thanks for all the comments.

@Craig I forgot to add a header so that will go into the design at some stage. I think that one image will be enough for the content as you can only display a website really using one image.

I am aware that the design lacks some colour and I will be injecting some in to be honest I was more focusing on the iTunes assignment.

@Scott - It was an interesting font + it just so happens to be a font I don't have! [Maybe first business expenditure]

Its a nice not so 'plane' font
